Why Research?

"If we knew what we were doing it wouldn't be research" - Albert Einstein

He has a point. If we knew all the answers, what would we be doing trying to find them out? Research the practice of discovering, and knowledge, and if we already had that knowledge, then what would the point of trying to find it?

We are always learning, every day of our lives. If we didn't learn, we would keep on making the same mistakes ovre and ovre and ovre and ovre and ovre and ovre......

Why do we research???

To find answers? We may find the answers, but do we know our question? We research to find proof, evidence to back up what we know. Like Einstein, finding proof to put behind his theory of relativity, we all need to back up what we say. From saying to your friend that there is a sale on at the mall, to posing a theory to a conference room full of scientists, proof is crucial.

What is research???

Research is human beings trying to gain and improve their knowledge. Research is finding proof, a way to back up your answers. Research is vital. What if Newton had not discovered gravity by not sitting under that particular apple tree on that particular day? Our whole world would be completely different! What if no one had ever had the idea of the internet? Our whole way of communicating would be stuck in 1895. I wouldn't be writing about this to you. So as you can see, we should appreciate research for what it has given us.
