you need to be able to cook on a barbecue...

you need to have a pool and have barbecues every weekend...

you need to have a hat with corks hanging off it...

you need to live in an outback town...

you need to have good friends in the local wildlife...

you need to have power lines running across your property...

you need to have a reliable access to pies and sausage rolls... and vegemite...

you need to have an auntie doris who owns the local fish n chippie...

you need to paint your face like the australian flag on autralia day... and wear a giant flag as a cape...

well, that's the stereotype, but what does it really mean to be australian???

You don't need to have been born in australia to be australian, australia gets more and more citizens each year who go through the ceremony and get tea and cakes after.

we have a lot of space in Australia, and we are very lucky, we have lots of space and everything... but we are not all meat pies and G'day mate! we are a country, and we respect our ancestors who made it that way... lest we forget.

we are about mateship more than anything so when you think of Australia... think of a lot of friends hanging out in one country!!! think of the song...
